Quilting

Occasionally, I fantasize that I have free time and in that free time I sometimes quilt... or sew quilt tops that never end up actually quilted. I usually give these quilts away or sell them. I haven't taken many photos of the ones I've given away--that was probably a silly thing to overlook. I plan to post photos here of some of the quilts I have done that I actually still have or of which I have taken photos.

If you are looking to have a custom quilt made for you I would be happy to take orders. Completion of a bed-sized quilt usually takes me around four months because I fit it in between other work. However, I can probably cut that time down if you have a deadline to meet.

Custom quilts range from $150 for crib-sized simple block quilts to over $800+ for king-sized or very complex quilts. OK, now pick your jaw up off the floor and consider that the fabric and batting alone for a king-sized quilt can run over $200. ;) Like the Amish, I spend hundreds of hours on a quilt and end up making about $1-2 an hour if I sell it.

More to come as I find more photos or quilt tops lurking in boxes...
